About Us 

Dr. William Larder started this dental practice in 1977. He was a part-time instructor at Dalhousie Dental School for many years and worked in the practice until December of 2015. He has been a wonderful mentor to us in teaching us to grow and learn as dentists, as well as explore new opportunities in the field of dentistry. Dr. Kate started talking with Dr. Larder about coming to work with him even before she began dental school and she was thrilled to join him in 1995 and she was especially pleased when her sister, Dr. Melanie Moore, joined Mumford Family Dental in 1998. In 2015 we were happy to have Dr. Meredith Lowe join our team as Dr. Bill retired. Then in early 2021 we added another lovely associate, Dr. Jasmeen Kaur to our team making more appointments readily available. We work hard at making Mumford Family Dental a positive place for both our patients and our team members. Our patients are very important to us as we welcome new patients each and every day.

What's New

We have recently upgraded to digital imaging which means no more waiting for pictures of your teeth to be developed. Digital radiography will also reduce the exposure of radiation for our patients while increasing diagnostic proficiency.

We have also added another evening to our schedule so that we are here to take care of your dental needs Monday and Thursday evenings.

Dr. Kate has joined the Atlantic Canada division of the Seattle Study Club. We are excited to see more of our patients use dental implants to restore function and smiles. Taking advantage of some great continuing education to improve our skills and knowledge will be a great asset in this area of dentistry.
